Even more more Etsy

Let's just get right to it, shall we?

The best thing about Etsy to me is that it's chock full of those little fashion touches you can add to your wardrobe to put a little flair on an otherwise simple outfit.

I'm very big on little flourishes. Like, even when I'm wearing trackpants and a t-shirt, I put a little brooch on there or something.  You know? You want to look like you're trying, basically, in my opinion. For some people that means "trying to look nice." For me it's more a matter of "trying to make a statement."

What is that statement?

Well, it varies.

1. Beadborg's Broken doll ball joint tights custom made for you

In this case that statement would be something like "OH MY GOD, are those your legs?"

To which I would be able to smugly reply, "Obviously."

I love the specific-ness of the imagery here.  Like, it's not even just broken legs, it's broken doll with ball joint legs.  It's like C3PO got beat up and left for dead and then you stole his legs!

Magic.

I would pair these with a jean skirt and a really nice cardigan.

Maybe a sandal or a jelly shoe.

2. craftasta's Pink barefoot sandals, women leg accessorie (sp), crochet foot jewelry, beach, sexy shoes

I might buy these just so I can walk into a grocery store or some place that has a "no shirt no shoes no service" type policy.

I imagine the exchange would go something like this:

Serviceperson: Excuse me ma'am, you need to wear shoes to be in here.

Me: These are shoes.

Serviceperson: Those are not shoes.

Me (whispering, lustful): They're sexy shoes.

I would pair them with a really bulky sweater and running tights.

Also I noticed craftasta has boot topper type things, which would seem useful, only I wear at least two pairs of socks with every pair of boots I own, for no specific reason.

3. MGD Clothing's Cupcake Chef Halloween Costume Dress and Hat Cute Kawaii Pink and White Womens Medium

I very briefly owned a maid's dress that I bought in NYC.  I stopped wearing it because every time I wore it I got into frustrating arguments with feminists about wearing a piece of clothing that mocked women's work (I didn't think it did) and icky arguments with men who acted like me wearing it meant I was down to get into some sort of weird French maid play with them (I wasn't).

The best part of this outfit is that MGD's site is all these awesome black gothic steampunk dresses and almost everything that's in color is for "Halloween."

I don't know why I enjoy this particular outfit so much. Maybe because it reminds me of the outfits they used to wear at Canada's Swiss Chalet restaurants and so it makes me think of yummy gravy.

I would probably pair this outfit with a Festive Special.

Okay that's it for now.

Next week, kitchen items.

I've got to go to bed so I can wake up at 6 am!

Horray!
